Audience comparison allows you to see the overlap between two audiences. For example, the overlap between the audiences who use the hashtag #nocode and #martech is actually very small.
Small audiences or niche topics may be difficult to get results on. The free queries are based on samples of the full population. To get full results, an upgrade is required.
Each time you get a new Twitter follower, save the follower profile information to an Excel table.
1. Create an Excel file on OneDrive that has a Table defined for any data you want to collect about your twitter followers. The available fields are:
2. Create a Zap for the Twitter app.
3. Trigger Zap when there is a new follower to your account.
4. Add a Zap step to write the data to a row in your table in Excel.
To create a timestamp in your Excel spreadsheet for each new follower, add a column to your table "Date Added" and use the Zapier function "Zap Meta Human Now" to populate that field.
With this saved data, you will be able to do some pretty cool analytics on your Twitter followers.
Should you grow your audience using Organic or Paid tactics?
Typical advice is to use content marketing and SEO to build your audience organically. The thinking is that organically built audiences are more loyal and more engaged. Plus, it doesn't require money.
Yes. And...it takes time to see results. Plus just because it doesn't cost money, doesn't mean it's free. It is slow and labor intensive to write quality content, engage on social media, and optimize your website and blog for SEO.
Many great products have been abandoned too quickly for lack of quick results.
Paid marketing is a way to get your message in front of more people quickly, and tends to be more scalable quicker than organic tactics.
This is not a recommendation to "buy fake followers". That particular tactic does not help you.
A balance of organic and paid will bring you results faster in a scalable way. Here is a chart from Grow and Convert that shows how SEO and Paid tactics can work together.
